Some of my photos were recently featured at “Behind the Brew”, a film and gallery event held last month, celebrating the revival of coffee in Sri Lanka 🇱🇰☕️The exhibition brought together photography, film, and storytelling — highlighting the people, landscapes, and passion behind Sri Lanka’s re-emerging coffee industry.Proud to have been part of this beautifully curated experience, organized by Market Development Facility (MDF) in collaboration with the Australian High Commission in Sri Lanka, and hosted at Radicle Gallery, Colombo Fort.A big thank you to my team for their support during the shoot — couldn’t have done it without you.Grateful to everyone who came by and supported — and to the farmers, roasters, and creatives keeping this story alive.
Took a little escape to Hiriketiya — one of my favorite corners of the southern coast. Let the waves rinse off the noise, let the salt air sink in, and let the sun remind me to slow down. Filled my soul with sea and my belly with everything delicious. A much-needed pause, wrapped in ocean blues and good bites.
Just wrapped up 2.5 amazing days at this stunning 7-bedroom Villa by Contemporary Ceylon in Sri Lanka. My work as a photographer often takes me to beautiful places—but this one really stood out. Nestled right by the beach, the villa blends laid-back luxury with soulful charm. I’ve been capturing everything from interiors and food to the little moments of daily life here. The service has been warm and thoughtful, and the food? Absolutely incredible. Feeling grateful for the chance to profile such a gem.

In *Arcane* Season 2, the dance scene between Ekko and Powder (now Jinx) is a powerful blend of emotion and tension, underscored by Stromae's haunting song "Fils de Joie." As the two characters move through the scene, the lyrics of the song, with its bittersweet tone, mirror their fractured relationship—highlighting themes of lost innocence and the pain of growing apart. The sequence is also notable for its stunning use of frame rate manipulation, with the animation shifting between a slower, dreamlike pace and more fluid, fast-paced movements. This visual choice enhances the emotional intensity of the moment, emphasizing the dissonance between their shared history and the chaotic present. The combination of music, motion, and animation technique creates a deeply evocative portrayal of the complex bond between Ekko and Jinx, making the scene unforgettable.
I was thrilled to be commissioned for a photography assignment showcasing the newly revamped menu at Daffodil, a vibrant and trendy restaurant in Unawatuna, Sri Lanka. Owned by a Sri Lankan and British couple, Daffodil is celebrated for its innovative cuisine and inviting atmosphere. Capturing the essence of each dish was a delightful experience, as they were beautifully presented and showcased a stunning fusion of flavors. This assignment not only allowed me to explore my passion for food photography but also offered a chance to savor the warm hospitality that Daffodil is renowned for—I even got to enjoy some of the delicious dishes I photographed!
Rest in Peace Fudge (2014.01.09 - 2014.08.09)Saying goodbye to Fudge, our beloved chocolate Labrador, is incredibly hard. For ten years, he was more than just a pet; he was my occasional roommate, an impromptu scooter, and a constant source of joy. His love for fetch, the way he’d jump on my bed, and his endearing habit of seeking out belly rubs and neck scratches are memories I’ll always cherish. He slept in the most awkward position and still slept like a baby. Though he was a bit possessive about his food, his playful spirit and mischievous side made every day brighter. Fudge’s absence leaves a big hole in our hearts, but the happiness he brought into our lives will remain with us forever. I will miss him dearly. Hope Fudge enjoy running and sleeping in Doggy Heaven!
I recently completed a 8 week Barista Master Class to learn something new and my inquisitive interest in coffee and coffee culture. It was an eye opening experience, learning about the history of coffee, the various processing methods to learning about the roasts, operating a expresso machine, learning to make hot and cold beverages, learning other methods and systems and so on. While my peers learnt for future barista work or opening their own cafe. I did it for the pure curiosity and interest and maybe I'll own my own cafe someday. Now I more aware about the coffees I drink and know how it is made. New skill unlocked!
