IELTS Listening Preparation TipsTo do well in the IELTS Listening test, practice is essential. Listen to a variety of English audio sources like podcasts, news, and conversations. Improve your note-taking skills and get used to different accents. Always read the questions before listening, so you know what to expect. Pay attention to keywords and synonyms, as the exact words may not be used. Practice completing forms, tables, and summaries to get familiar with common question types. Can YOU listen to the passage and answer the questions correctly?(I had to speak fast because HelloTalk only allows for audios of 60 seconds.)
🗣️ Helping English Learners – A Note on My LivestreamsI regularly host livestreams here on HelloTalk to help English learners improve their speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills. My goal is to create a space where learners can actively practice and grow, no matter what level they’re at.Yesterday, I ran a livestream focused on IELTS Listening Exam Practice. I prepared questions and sample audio passages to give everyone a realistic and helpful experience. The idea was for participants to take notes, write down answers, and engage like it was a real test.Unfortunately, I was disappointed to see that most people didn’t participate in the activity. I had hoped more would take it seriously—grabbing a pen and paper, listening closely, and trying to answer. It’s not about being perfect; it’s about putting in the effort to improve.🙏 To those who did engage and genuinely tried—thank you. I see your effort, and I truly appreciate it. I dedicate a lot of time and energy to these sessions, without any payment, simply to help others learn. So, if you join one of my livestreams, please come ready to learn. Bring a notebook. Ask questions. Make mistakes. That’s how you grow. Let’s make it a space for real learning, not just background noise.

One of the most important things in life is to love those around you. It can be easy to complain about inconveniences or things that make life less than perfect, but allowing that negative way of thinking to consume you will rob you of your joy and happiness. Instead, let’s focus on our loved ones and helping people. As a result, we’ll be happier and provide a more valuable contribution to all around us. Stretching and exercising my muscles are activities that I really enjoy and find to be important parts of my daily routine. Here I’m making sure to stretch muscles like the quadriceps, hamstrings and glutes before I proceed to do exercises like squats, deadlifts, calf raises and pistol squats. What kinds of exercises do you enjoy doing?
