My companions during this Coronavirus quarantine period — trying to make progress with my learning and artistic endeavors.Hope all have a wonderful and fruitful weekend. My apologies for lack of response to messages, I tend to be overwhelmed. More the fault of mine own anxieties than anything else. I want to give everyone the attention and respect that they deserve as human beings, and I often find that difficult to guarantee. Please don’t take my lack of response and interaction as disrespect, but as evidence of mine own shortcomings as a learner.
فرا رسیدن ماه مبارک رمضان بر شنا مبارک🌙ورمضان مبارك ☪️ ورمضان كريم 🕋I hope all of my Muslim friends have a wonderful month of Ramadan, with a spiritually fruitful fast followed by a fully bountiful iftar! I have included in this collage the original Arabic of my favorite Surah from the Quran - #90 - The City (Al-Balad)I hope we all, regardless of faith or lack thereof, continue to attempt the steep path in life. #ramadan #ramadan2021 #ramadanmubarak #رمضان #رمضان_كريم #القرآن
English learners! If you want some fun English language shows to watch, check out these classic cartoons! These were my favorite cartoons to watch as a kid. They are very funny, entertaining, and most Americans over the age of 20 grew up watching them, so you can talk about them with your language partners if they’re from the USA! I’m sure they’d be very happy and excited to remember these classic cartoons that shaped our childhood! The shows:Scooby-Doo Where Are YouThe Grim Adventures of Billy and MandyEd, Edd, EddyCourage the Cowardly Dog
Everyone needs their comfort zone!I recently moved to a new city and finally got my little bedroom in my little apartment organized how I like it. Hopefully will make a good place to work, write, and create music! It took forever to move and organize all those books — maybe I should have gotten into ebooks a long time ago 😂
English learners — if you want to focus on British English, dive into Shakespeare. If you want to focus on American English, dive into Mark Twain!I may be biased, as an American & a lifelong fan of Mark Twain. He was my favorite author growing up, and I look forward to rereading his stories after all these years!
I like to think I am a serious learner. I know I am genuinely interested in Japan, Iran, and in the Arab world. However, I feel like I am overexerting my self in trying to tackle this much at the same time. I feel like my soul is a user with a lot of interests in this world (and otherwise), while my brain is a computer with not enough RAM. It’s an undying conflict, and I can’t seem to choose a side to stick with. The tension headache says stop while the heart says go. Maybe this anxiety in and of itself is a learning experience. I will continue fighting on this hill until it’s no longer prudent. I have until I give up the ghost, and that will hopefully be a good long time from now.
