Hello 👋 everyone, I’ve been think about hopefully by the beginning of next year of having 3 to 4 groups. “ catch me if you can” will be for grammar, vocabulary, usage and phonics. Another for SAT, TOEFL, and IELTS. Another for stories, reading , conversation, songs and movies. I’ll may have another for verbal phases and idioms or put them in either “catch if you can or in the another group with the songs. Please let me know what you think.
“ bear with me/us” is a verbal phrase used as a polite way *of asking someone to be patient while you do or finish something* For example: “If you just bear with me for a few more minutes, we’ll have all the paperwork finished”. In general bear mean: * to accept, tolerate, or endure something, especially something unpleasant* (more explanation on that another time)
So now let’s start on some idioms about emotion. Our first one is * “leaves me cold”, which means “has no effect on me” or “ to not make or completely fail to interest, excite, attract someone or to make them fell bored 😑 or underwhelm.* i’m sorry Charles, but classical music 🎶 leaves me cold”.* A noun or pronoun is often used between “leave” and "cold”, for example “ leaves him cold”.
