Just some nice shots from my camping adventure~It was so humid that it rained, but fortunately the following day was cooler. It was perfect for a hike, and yet even with cooler weather the misquitoes ate me 😞 I almost stepped on this weird orange salamnder. It was so small and adorable! This was my first time seeing it. I wonder what its called.🧐
Had a really fun weekend! I went camping and I got to see my family today! I only see them once every few years so it was important to me to get to see them! I hope in the future I can find the time to visit them🙂 Whenever I see my aunt, I always ask her to do my hair~ I like how she french braids it😇Hope everyone had a good weekend too!

Sometimes natives say phrases that might sound weird, but you actually know the meaning. listen for details~For example;Lets get to it = lets start / beginLets wrap up (time to wrap up)= to finish / end something.Take 5 (or lets take 5)= have a 5 minute break.Another round = go again. when drinking, this means they want another of the same drink (a refill).Think about it like this; Another (means additional) and Round (circular) . When you make a circle you always end where you started. If you make more than one circle, you make another 👻 Breaking these down can help you understand the references made by natives. Also, i would have recorded more but i can only squeeze so much into 60 seconds 😅

Another thing I think learners struggle with are verbs. When listening, I think people stop and try to figure out the word they don't know and how it relates to the main topic of the sentence. When doing listening/reading exams this will only stop you, so if you do not know that word, keep listening/ reading so you still may catch the main point. for example, a sentence from the Game of Thrones book;"sweat trickled icily down Jon's chest as he pressed the attack."key words that will help you are Jon (the subject) sweat and attack (the actions). The other words let the reader know the specific details. You still can gather the main idea from these few words; that JON is SWEATING from ATTACKING.🙌🏻🛡⚔let's make english easier~☆
