~~~~Upon reaching summer in Australia ~~~~Xagaaga waa xilli qurux badan oo ay qorraxdu iftiimiso dhulka, hawada kululna ay qaaddo neef cusub oo nadiif ah. Geedaha iyo dhirta waxay u muuqdaan kuwo cagaaran oo nool, ubaxuna wuxuu soo bandhigaa midabo kala duwan oo qurux badan. Carruurtu waxay ku ciyaarayaan bannaanka, iyagoo ku faraxsan heesaha xagaaga. Xilligan, waxaa jirta xasillooni iyo farxad oo ka muuqata dadka, iyagoo ka faa’iideysanaya maalmaha dheer iyo hawada macaan.Translation:Summer is a beautiful season when the sun shines brightly upon the earth, and the warm air carries a fresh, clean breath. Trees and plants appear vibrant and alive, while flowers bloom in a variety of beautiful colors. Children play outside, enjoying the songs of summer. During this time, there’s a calm and joy visible in people, as they take full advantage of the long days and pleasant air.
Somali wisdom of the day:‘’ Waxaa jira dad ku maqli kara adigoo ku hadlaya kumanaan eray haddana aan ku fahmeyn. Waxaa jira dad ku fahmaya adigoo xittaa aan hal eray ku hadlin.’’Translation: ‘’There are people who can hear you speak yet can’t seem to understand you. There’s also other people who understand you without you even saying a word.’’P.S. enjoy pics from my beach trip today🫡
One of my favourite somali quotes is:‘Aqoon la’aan wa iftiin la’aan’Meaning:‘To be without knowledge is to be without light’This phrase shows that without knowledge a person may be ‘in the dark’ and unable to see or understand important truths, make informed decisions or even navigate life’s complexities. Without knowledge we might struggle to find our way, make mistakes, or be easily misled. Just like light is essential for seeing, knowledge is vital for learning, growing, and improving our lives.
