—THE MONTH OF MUHARRAM AND IT’S VIRTUES— ﷽💎BENEFIT: WHY DOES FASTING THE DAY OF ‘ARAFAT EXPIATE TWO YEARS OF SINS BUT FASTING THE DAY OF ‘ASHŪRA’ EXPIATE LS ONE YEAR? 💎Shaykh Al-Islām Ibnul Qayyim Al-Jawziyyah رحمه الله said: “If it is said: Why does ‘Ashūra’ expiate one year (of sins) while ‘Arafat expiates two years? The answer is from the two angles:💎Firstly: The day of ‘Arafat is within a sacred month, and it follows a sacred month, and after it is a sacred month; as opposed to ‘Ashūra’. 💎Secondly: Fasting the day of ‘Arafat is from that which is specific to our legislation, as opposed to ‘Ashūra’. So it is multiplied in terms of the blessing it contains on the account of Mustafa ﷺSource: Bada’i Al-Fawa’id 4/1667Translated by: Ustaadh. Raha Batts حفظه الله X:Prince1Khalifa
—THE VIRTUES OF FASTING ‘ASHŪRA— ﷽When does the fasting of Muharram begin or the fasting of ‘Āshūrā begin? Question to Shaikh Ibn Bāz (rahimahullāh):Shaykh. Ibn Bāz (rahimahullāh) answered: “The Prophet (salallahu ‘alaihi wassallam) said: “The best fasts after Ramadan are in the month of Allāh: Muharram.” And that is ‘Āshūrā. And the meaning is that he fasted it all, from the first day till the last, from the beginning till the end. This is the meaning of the hadeeth. However, he specified from this month, the 9th and the 10th day, or the 10th and the 11th day for the one who cannot fast the whole month. The Messenger (salallahu ‘alaihi wassallam) would fast ‘Āshūrā in the days of Jāhiliyyah [prior to Revelation], and the people of Quraish would also fast it. Later on, when the Messenger (salallahu ‘alaihi wassallam) arrived in Madinah, he found that the Jews were also fasting it. So he asked them concerning it, so they replied: “It is the day on which Allah saved Mūsā and his people, and He destroyed the Pharaoh and his people, so Mūsā fasted it in gratitude to Allāh, so we likewise fast it.”Allah’s Messenger (salallahu ‘alaihi wassallam) said: “We have more right with respect to Mūsā and are more deserving of him.” So he (salallahu ‘alaihi wassallam) fasted and he commanded that it be fasted. So it is a Sunnah (recommended) to fast the Day of ‘Āshūrā (10th Muharram) and it is from the Sunnah to fast the day before it or the day after, due to what is narrated from him (salallahu ‘alaihi wassallam), “Fast the day before it and the day after it.” And in a wording, there occurs: “A day before it or a day after it.” And in another narration: “If I live till next year, I will surely fast on the ninth,” meaning along with the tenth – and this is best, i.e., that a person fasts the tenth because that is a great day, wherein goodness was attained for Mūsā (‘alaihi salām)Source: Abu KhadeejahX:Prince1Khalifa

A DAY IN WHICH ALLĀH عزوجل BOASTS OF HIS SERVANTS TO HIS ANGELS 'A'isha (Allah be pleased with her) reported Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) as saying: (There is no day in which Allaah, The Mighty and Majestic, sets free more slaves from the Hell-Fire than [He does] on the Day of ‘Arafah. He draws near, then He boasts of them to the Angels, so He says: ‘What do these [people] want?’قَالَتْ عَائِشَةُ إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ " مَا مِنْ يَوْمٍ أَكْثَرَ مِنْ أَنْ يُعْتِقَ اللَّهُ فِيهِ عَبْدًا مِنَ النَّارِ مِنْ يَوْمِ عَرَفَةَ وَإِنَّهُ لَيَدْنُو ثُمَّ يُبَاهِي بِهِمُ الْمَلاَئِكَةَ فَيَقُولُ مَا أَرَادَ هَؤُلاَءِ ".Ibn Abdil-Barr (rahimahullaah) said: “This proves that they have been forgiven, because He would not boast of the people of errors and sins except after repentance and pardon – and Allaah Knows best.”Al-Qurtubee (rahimahullaah) said: “Meaning that He makes praise upon them to them, and He dignifies them due to their presence, as occurs in another hadeeth: (Look at my servants, they have come to Me – dishevelled, dusty, I call you to witness that I have forgiven them.) It is as if – and Allaah Knows best – this is a reminder to the Angels of their saying:أَتَجْعَلُ فِيهَا مَن يُفْسِدُ فِيهَا (Will You place in it such as shall cause corruption therein) (Al-Baqarah: 30) Whilst manifesting an actualisation of His saying, Allah The Most High: إِنِّي أَعْلَمُ مَا لَا تَعْلَمُونَ(Indeed, I know that which you do not know)(Al-Baqarah: 30)X:Prince1Khalifa
SUPPLICATING ON THIS DAY AND A MENTION OF THE RESPONSE TO ONE’S SUPPLICATION. الدعاء في هذا اليوم وذكر إجابة الدعاءThe Prophet (Peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said:"The best supplication is the supplication of the day of ‘Arafah; and the best of that which I and the Prophets before me said is: لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللهُ، وَحْدَهُ لَا شَرِيكَ لَهُ، لَهُ الْمُلْكُ وَلَهُ الْحَمْدُ، وَهُوَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ ‘There is nothing worthy of worship except Allaah alone – without any partners for Him. Ruling on Valentine’s Day ❌❤️🚫❌❤️🚫Valentine's Day, also called Saint Valentine's Day or the Feast of Saint Valentine, is celebrated on February 14th. It originated as a Western Christian feast-day honouring some early saints. ❌“Valentines Day” has no basis in Islam. Valentine was a priest of Rome killed in the 269CE; the tradition is rooted in Christian Sainthood.🚨“The festival of love (valentines) is from the Christian idolatrous festivals. It is therefore not permissible for a Muslim who believes in Allah and the last day to participate in it or to affirm it or to facilitate over it.”(Lajnatu Da’imah 2/263)🚨Nothing to do with Islam― the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم said: “Whoever resembles a people, is from them.”X:Prince1khalifa

Ruling on participating in the holidays of Christians and other infidelsFatwa no. 8848Q: Is it permissible for a Muslim to join the Christians in their celebrations, such as Christmas that is held at the end of December? Some people who claim knowledge sit with Christians in their feast gatherings and say that it is permissible. Is their opinion true or false? Is there any legal evidence for the permissibility of doing so?A: It is not permissible to join the Christians in their celebrations, even if those who claim knowledge join them, because this increases their numbers and is a kind of support to them in sin arid transgression.
