‘Laughing Wild’ 🤩(Man and the Supermarket story)🎭 Type: Comedic👨 Character: Man, always talks about being positive but constantly spirals into negativity🗒 Summary: The Man talks about getting hit in a supermarket by a womanMAN: 🗣 I was in the supermarket the other day about to buy some tuna fish when I sensed this very disturbed presence right behind me. There was something about her focus that made it very clear to me that she was a disturbed person. So I thought – well, you should never look at a crazy person directly, so I thought, I’ll just keep looking at these tuna fish cans, pretending to be engrossed in whether they’re in oil or in water, and the person will then go away. But instead wham! she brings her fist down on my head and screams “would you move, asshole!” (Pause.) Now why did she do that? She hadn’t even said, “would you please move” at some initial point, so I would’ve known what her problem was. Admittedly I don’t always tell people what I want either – like the people in the movie theatres who keep talking, you know, I just give up and resent them -but on the other hand, I don’t take my fist and go wham! on their heads!

Then she puts on her shoes. Now all the passengers are lookin’ on wonderin’ what’s goin’ on, see? Well, finally this old fella leans over, see, and he taps her on the shoulder and he says “you pardon my sudden rudeness, ma’am, but why’d you just now go and indulge in this strange procedure?” ‘N the girl says, “why, kind sir. I was readin’ this here magazine and I found the story such hot stuff that I felt compelled to turn the hose myself.”❗️(Mental Stamina Group: This a very challenging monologue and it’s from an old movie…1973. So – I am walking back out of the library right, and I see like Alicia and Breanna and Kylie all the ‘cool’ girls walking towards me and they’re like talking and laughing and stuff like that. So I do what any of us would do right? I hide! I duck myself between a watercooler and a classroom door and a I turn to face the door like I am reading the class list on the front of it and they walk right on by! And as they’re going past I am ready for them to make fun of me or to like say something super witty and cutting but what I heard instead blew me away. As they walked past I heard Kylie say ‘Yeah, like I am so sick of playing a Barbarian, I think I want to make a new character.’ and then Alicia said ‘No way babe! I love Torben the Barbarian, she’s amazing!’ (a beat) Dude. The cool girls at our school are playing Dungeons and Dragons. The cool girls at OUR SCHOOL are playing Dungeons and Dragons! I wonder if they need a halfling wizard?

Or I’m crying and they start laughing. Or there’s people sitting in the waiting room, and they’re, they’re like me but prettier and better at the…because maybe I’m not good enough. Maybe I’m one of those people that has always wanted to do it, but it’s like a pipe dream for me. You know, and then you, you said it. You change your dreams and then you grow up. Maybe I’m one of those people and I’m not supposed to. And I can go back to school and I can find something else that I’m supposed to do. Cause I left to do that. And it’s been six years and I don’t wanna do it anymore.

The tiger and the boyA tiger lived in a forest. It hunted animals daily and lived happily. Days rolled on. The tiger grew old. It lost its strength and couldn’t hunt animals as before. The tiger planned a novel idea so that it can make easy hunt on its prey.The tiger sat on the bank of a lake. It had two golden bangles. It kept the bangles on one hand and a rosary on other. It posed like a sage and wanted to deceive the animals prey.A brahmin boy came by that way, saw the aged tiger with the golden bangles and rosary in its hands. The tiger wanted to kill the boy and eat him. The tiger called the boy to come near and get the bangles as a presentation.The brahmin boy was very interested in getting the golden bangles. It would help him in relieving his poverty. However, he thought of the tiger and its nature of killing its prey. Hence, he hesitated to go nearer to the tiger.The tiger told the boy to believe it. It did not want the bangles. It had converted itself into a vegetarian and became a sage. It advised the boy to take bath in the lake and get the bangles from it.The boy believed the words of the tiger. With a lot of desire, he went into the lake for taking bath. He was caught in the mud inside the lake and was struggling to come out of the lake. The tiger expected this situation and pounced on the boy, and killed him for its food. The boy died due to his desire for golden bangles.
