今日は『夏へのトンネル、さよならの出口』という小説を読み終わってと、素敵な本だと思った！アニメ映画もあることが知ったから、それも見るかもしれないね。Today I finished reading the novel "The Tunnel to Summer, the Exit of Goodbyes". I thought it was a great story! I learned there is also an animated movie for it, so I might watch that as well.

毎朝起きると、すごく疲れているんだ。寝るのは大体平気だけど、もう少し長くなったらいいな。もっと早く寝ようとするかもね。Every morning I am always quite tired when I wake up. My sleep itself is mostly fine, but it could probably be a bit longer. Maybe I'll try to get to bed earlier.

大人になると、友達とプランを作るのがすごく難しくなるよね。みんながもっと責任を持つようになって、暇が減って、何日で会うか決まるのは大変だよね。As you get older, it seems to get harder to make plans with friends. Everyone is taking on more responsibilities and has less free time, so finding a day to meet becomes quite troublesome.

僕は旅行が好きです。たくさんの面白くて綺麗な場所に行ったり、新しいものを見たりすると、とても楽しいです。海外旅行はいいですが、国内旅行は時々過小評価されていると思います。自分の近所にも、見たことがない綺麗な場所がたくさんあるかもしれません。I love traveling. You get to go to lots of interesting and beautiful places, and see lots of new things, it's a lot of fun. Overseas travel is great, but I feel like sometimes people undervalue domestic travel. There's likely even tons of amazing places I haven't seen in my own local area.

明日は土曜日！今週末は予定は特にないけど、そういう時はとてもいいと思う。出かけたければ出かけられるし、家でぐずぐずしたければそれもできる。完全に自由な気がする。Tomorrow is Saturday! I don't have any particular plans for the weekend, but I think this sort of time is great. If you want to go out you can, but you can also just laze around at home, it feels very freeing.

ラーメン食べたいな日本に行ったときに、たくさん美味しい種類を食べたけど、帰ってから、食べなくなってしまった。もちろん、ここにもラーメン屋があるんだけど、すごく高いから、あまり買いたくないな。I really want to eat some ramen. When I was in Japan I tried many delicious varieties, but since returning home I haven't eaten any. Of course we have Raman stores here as well, but it's really expensive so I don't really want to buy it.

時々夜空を見上げると、本当に不思議だなって思う。星ってあんなに大きくて遠いから、自分がなんか小さくなった気がするね。Sometimes I look up at the night sky and am struck with how amazing it is. The fact that the stars are so big and far away really makes me feel like i'm quite small.

最近は近所の美術館で展示の広告を見ました。日本でモネの展示を見たとき、素敵な絵だと思ったので、この展示にもモネの作品があると知って、興味を持ちました。行ってみるかもしれません。Recently I've seen ads for a display at my local art museum. When I was in Japan I saw a display about Monet, and thought the art was amazing, so I was quite interested to see this one also has his works. Maybe I'll go see it.

日本のメディアではアニメしか観たことがないんだけど、最近は普通の映画やシリーズも観たくなってきたんだ。何かおすすめある？日常生活や、簡単なプロットがあるものはたぶん僕にとってもっと分かりやすいと思うから、特に観たい。Out of Japanese media, I have really only watched anime, but recently I've become interested in watching normal movies and series. Do you have any recommendations? I think things about everyday life or with a simple plot will be best for me, so I'm especially interested in those kinds of shows and movies.

この間は日本の音楽を聴いていたら、意外とたくさんの言葉が分かるようになってきた！1年前を思い出すと、その時はほとんど分からなかったから、少しだけ進歩した気がする。これからも頑張る！I was listening to some Japanese music the other day, and noticed I could understand quite a few words! Thinking back to a year ago, I couldn't understand my h at all, so I feel like I've made some progress. I'll keep on trying my best!

うちの猫は寝てばっかりみたいだけど、おもちゃを出したら、あちこち飛んで遊んで、すごく元気になる。とてもかわいいよね〜My cat seems like he just sleeps all day, but if you get a toy out he starts jumping all over the place playing with it. I think it's very cute.

この間、『Mount Taranaki 』という山を見ました。本当に綺麗な山だと思います。住んでいる町から遠くて、普段は見えないので、やっと見ることができてよかったです。残念ですが、良い写真を撮る機会がありませんでしたが、次回もあるでしょう。The other day I saw mount Taranaki. I think it is a beautiful mountain. It is quite far from the town I live in, so I don't usually see it, so I was happy to get the chance. Unfortunately I didn't get a chance to take any good photos but there is always next time.

普段はシャワーを浴びますが、最近はお風呂に入ってみて、お風呂は本当にいいですよね。ぽかぽかのお湯に浸かると、一日の悩みが全部消えてしまいます。Normally I just take showers, but recently I've been trying out baths, and they really are great aren't they. When you sink into the warm water, all of the day's worries seem to wash away.

これは『onion weed』と呼ばれている植物です。雑草ですが、料理などに使う人もいます。それに、花はとても綺麗だと思います。This is a plant called "onion weed". Although it is a weed, some people use it in food, and I think its flowers are quite nice.

電子書籍と本では、どちらのほうが好きですか？確かに電子書籍は便利ですが、僕は手で本を取って、ページをめくたり、本棚でたくさんの本が並んでるのを見るのが好きですので、やっぱり紙の本のほうが好きです。Which do you prefer between e-books and physical books? It's true that e-books are convenient, but I like holding a book in my hands and flipping the pages, and seeing the books lined up on the bookshelf, so I prefer physical books myself.

最近は腕に怪我をしたから、片方の腕しか使えなくなってしまって、とてもめんどうだよね。普通に考えないことが急にできなくなるのは本当に困るね。Recently I injured my arm, so have only been able to use one, which has been a pain. Suddenly not being able to do things you didn't even think about before is quite troublesome.

今日はまた山に行きました。今回はスノーボードなどの活動をしませんでしたが、天気がよかったので、綺麗な景色を楽しみました！Today I went to the mountains again. This time I didn't do anything like snowboarding, but the weather was great so I got to enjoy the beautiful scenery!

今日は友達と山に行ってスノーボードをした。天気はちょっと悪かったけど、楽しかったです！明日も行くつもりだったけど、今日はスノーボードし中に転んで手首を折ってしまったから、僕にとってはスノーボードはもう終わりだね。Today I went with some friends to the mountains and went snowboarding. The weather wasn't great but it was a lot of fun! I was intending to go again tomorrow but I fell while snowboarding and broke my wrist, so I think this might be it for my snowboarding for now.

今夜は友達と長距離を運転しました。一晩でそんなに遠くまで行くのは初めてだったので、ちょと疲れました。でも明日から三連休なので楽しみです！Tonight I drove a long way with my friends. Going so far in one night is the first time for me so I'm quite tired. But from tomorrow we have a three day weekend so I'm looking forward to it!
